I genuinely, passionately hate them and Sony for something this bad. Terrible terrible things that don't work and make everything harder and nothing easier. I reset them, I factory reset them, I tried every setting, nothing works. This never happened with the cheaper Jabra headphones that I use in the literally exact same environment of my house. I get it with Spotify, YouTube literally any source. A quick sub-second interruption that means the song is ruined, you miss words in a podcast and it adds up to never being sure if the source is the issue or not.
Sound! The sound quality is really good but there are CONSTANT drop outs. Switched the ear buds to different sizes, nothing. If I make a call outside the house using them the caller on the other end can hear buses and sirens and wind, but not me. The box makes a song and dance about how good the noise cancelling is but it's non-existent. I have no idea why this is required and it's a pain.

I could use them for work, on video calls, and when I got up to go for a run, they would unsync with the laptop when out of range and play from my phone without any manual intervention on my part.
My previous headphones could sync with more than one device simultaneously. My word I wish I hadn't and now I'm back in the UK I can't return them so have just thrown my money out the window. So while in the US at Target, I saw the Sony WF-1000XM3 and thought, "why don't I spend a little more for the good brand". They wouldn't turn on, paired inconsistently, just became more irritating to use than anything else.
